 note = {論文, Articles, 日本では、少子高齢化が進行して、人口減少が続くと予測されている。大都市圏においても、郊外住宅地では、少子高齢化が進行すると考えられている。こうした人口構造の変化は、商業者、とりわけ、地域住民を対象に経営をしている小売業者へ影響を与えると予想される。
本稿では、東京圏を対象地域として、人口構造の変化が商業、特に小売業へ与える影響について、主に国勢調査と商業統計調査を用いて分析している。まず、既存研究で指摘されてきた東京圏の人口移動や高齢化などの実態について、国勢調査によって検討し、現況の把握を試みた。続いて、商業統計調査を用いて、東京圏の卸売業と小売業の分布を示し、小売業を対象とすることを論じたうえで、近年における東京圏の商業の変化を検討している。人口構造の変化による影響を分析するために、市区町村レベルで、人口減少や高齢化と、小売業のデータを整理して、相関の検討や中心地性指数を活用した分析を実施した。しかし、統計的にみると、人口構造の変化が小売業へ与える影響について、現段階では明示的でない。買い物行動の捕捉、通信販売の影響の分析を含めて、地域住民や小売店への調査など、ミクロレベルの検討を重ねる必要がある。, In Japan, the population would continue to decline due to the declining birthrate and aging population. Even in metropolitan areas, it is thought that the birthrate is declining, and the population is aging especially in suburban residential areas. These changes in the population structure are expected to affect merchants, especially retailers who operate for the residents. In this paper, we analyze the impact of changes in the population structure on commerce, especially the retail industry, mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, by using census and commercial statistical surveys. First, we examined the actual conditions of population migration and aging in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Next, using a commercial statistics survey, we show the distribution of wholesale and retail trade in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and examine changes in commerce in the Tokyo area in recent years. In order to analyze the impact of changes in the demographic structure, we organized data on population decline and aging, and some index about retail business at the municipal level, examined the correlation, and conducted an analysis using the centrality index. However, statistically speaking, the impact of changes in the population structure on the retail industry is not clear at this stage. It is necessary to carry out micro-level studies, such as surveying residents and retailers, including examine shopping behavior of the residents, and analyzing the impact of e-commerce.},
