Classification was made by selecting several items based on external elements of his works. Those items include shooting, recording, developing, editing, and projecting, which are all related to the structure of cinema created with film since Lumière brothers. The analysis with this classification made it clear Okuyama's own words that he had consistently created his experimental films radically expressing \"the structure of cinema\" and the presence of \"film\" itself. Furthermore,\"physicality\" and \"spirit of service\", which are commonly recognized in Okuyama's film works,were made apparent by studying a couple of his works in detail. Okuyama has been trying to make his works belonging in a branch of experimental film that is named as “Structural Films” by P.Adams Sitney.
