None of the participants were English majors. ER was conducted for participants of both groups for 30 minutes during each class for one semester. After ER activities in class, a read-aloud activity was conducted in one class, and grammar instruction was given in the other. The resulting tendencies were taken from the results of English tests conducted in the beginning,and at the end of the semester.
