The musical score of Chopin compiled by Paderewski as an interpretation edition is still a standard now. That was because it was the only full version until the original edition compiled by Jan Ekier was completed in 2010. Also, the sound source of the performance by Paderewski started from piano rolls and shellac records (78 rpm records), has been taken over to vinyl records (33 rpm records) and CDs, and the popularity of the sound source that has been wanted for more than a century is not unusual.\n　In this study, we devised a method to analyze quantitatively the fine information of music which cannot be judged by auditory sense by converting sound source on shellac records into MIDI data. By using this method, we succeeded in objectively analyzing the musical expression of the greatest pianists in history such as Paderewski as numerical values.
