 note = {ITやネットを利用して教育や学習を支援する教育システムを総称して、eラーニングと呼ぶ。PC上で映像や音声などを扱うマルチメディア技術の進展とインターネットの普及により、PCを利用した語学学習教材の開発が盛んになってきた。しかしこれらの語学学習教材においては、教材となるコンテンツは制作時にプログラムに埋め込まれており、学習者の進度や能力に対してタイミングよくコンテンツを変更する事は一切考慮されていない。本稿では、このような観点からコンテンツとエンジンの独立性を高め、インターネットを利用してコンテンツを更新可能なマルチメディアCAIとして開発された尚美学園大学英語教材CD-ROM「English for Successful and Fun Communication」について、技術的な側面に焦点を絞り開発当時の語学学習ソフトの状況などを交えながら報告するものである。, The educational system which supports education and study using IT or a network is called e-Learning. By the progress of multimedia technology and the spread of the Internet which treat an image, a sound, etc. on PC, development of the language teaching and learning materials using PC has prospered. However, in these language teaching and learning materials, the contents used as teaching materials are embedded at the program, and they are very difficult to be updated with student's progress. From such a viewpoint, the independence of contents and engine is improved in "English for Successful and Fun Communication", the Shobi University English teaching material, which can update contents using the Internet.
