What sort of chord is the mystic chord composed of? What sociocultural background does the mystic chord have? Falling under the category of harmony, partigularly the interpretation of a non-chord tone, I, in this paper, argue and analyze the mystic chord by applying the Jazz Theory, which is said to have been systematized in the mid-20th century, and the Technique de mon Langage Musical developed by Olivier Messiaen. I also take into account the transition of Skryabin's composition techniques through piano pieces which symbolize his profound techniques.
