Despite the term’s obvious relationship to the word “dominate,” the Japanese translation has been “Zoku,\" which implies a dependency or subordinate state. This translated term sometimes causes confusion among Japanese music students and students in countries that share the translation when they learn English. The translated term first appeared in “Gakuten,” an 1883 Japanese publication based on an English- music theory book widely used throughout the 19th century. This thesis explains the reason why the Japanese translation of “dominant” has been set to “Zoku,” which was distant from its origin but more appropriate in tonal context and for education, by clarifying the etymological and musical history of two musical terms; “tonic” and “dominant” in Europe, North America, and Japan.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.57486/0002000059","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_36":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"尚美学園大学総合政策学部","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_source_id_25":{"attribute_name":"雑誌書誌ID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA11546318","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_38":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1346-3802","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_10002_text_28":{"attribute_name":"著者所属(日)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_language":"ja","subitem_text_value":"尚美学園大学芸術情報学部非常勤"}]},"item_10002_text_29":{"attribute_name":"著者所属(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Shobi University"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"佐藤,賢太郎","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"サトウ,ケンタロウ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"SATO, Kentaro","creatorNameLang":"en"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2024-04-10"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"sougoukiyo40_05Sato.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.9 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://shobi-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000059/files/sougoukiyo40_05Sato.pdf"},"version_id":"910978fe-36b7-477e-88eb-3095979bd052"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"ドミナント","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"属音","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"トニック","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"主音","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"音楽取調掛","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"dominant","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"tonic","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"musical term","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Japanese translation","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Meiji era","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"音楽用語「ドミナント」に対する「属」という訳語の由来","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"音楽用語「ドミナント」に対する「属」という訳語の由来","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Etymology of “Zoku” for a Musical Term “Dominant” in Japan","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"11","path":["1709615146265"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2024-04-10"},"publish_date":"2024-04-10","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000059","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["音楽用語「ドミナント」に対する「属」という訳語の由来"],"weko_creator_id":"11","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-04-13T00:01:57.318755+00:00"}
